Day-use permits are required and cost $6 per person per day. Permits can be purchased in advance on Recreation.gov or at the trailhead. No special event permit is needed for small ceremonies. Overnight trips through Buckskin Gulch and Paria Canyon require a separate Paria Canyon Overnight Permit, which must be reserved in advance and are in limited supply. Contact BLM Kanab Field Office at (435) 644-1200 for current conditions and requirements.
