Elope in Kentucky
cave systems, karst landscape, and Green River valley
Mammoth Cave National Park has over 400 mapped miles of cave passages, making it the longest known cave system in the world. The cave itself offers a ceremony environment that is unlike anything above ground: constant 54-degree temperature, cathedral ceilings, and the kind of silence that registers as physical. Above ground, the park's Green River valley and forested ridgelines provide more traditional outdoor ceremony options. Permit requirements are minimal for personal ceremonies, and the park is well within driving distance from Louisville, Nashville, and Cincinnati.
