Elope in Oregon
volcanic crater lake, coastal headlands, and old-growth gorge
Oregon's elopement corridor runs from the Columbia River Gorge along the coast to Crater Lake in the Cascades. Crater Lake is the deepest lake in the US. The permit system here is relatively straightforward, and the caldera rim has multiple ceremony spots with unobstructed views. The Columbia River Gorge and Ecola State Park are day-trip distance from Portland, making them popular for couples flying in. Oregon also has some of the most accessible public land for permit-free ceremonies anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, particularly along the coast.
