Elope in Minnesota
boreal forest, lake country, and wilderness canoe routes
Voyageurs National Park is one of the only water-based national parks in the country, with most of its interior accessible only by boat. The park covers four large lakes on the Minnesota-Canada border, with island and lakeshore ceremony options that feel genuinely remote. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness adjacent to the park adds permit-free ceremony options for couples who want a paddling approach to their elopement. This is not a backdrop for couples who want a quick day trip. It rewards couples who want a real adventure.
