Elope in Missouri
Ozark streams, cave systems, and old-growth river valley forest
Ozark National Scenic Riverways in Missouri protects over 134 miles of the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers, the first national riverway in the country. The spring-fed rivers are gin-clear, and the surrounding Ozark plateau has caves, bluffs, and forested hills that make for unexpectedly scenic ceremony backdrops. Permit requirements for personal ceremonies along the riverway are minimal. For couples in the Midwest looking for water-based terrain without traveling far, the Ozark Riverways is a practical and underused option.
