Elope in New Mexico

white sand dunes, ancient pueblo ruins, and high desert sky

White Sands National Park is one of the most visually distinctive locations in the country, covering 275 square miles of white gypsum dunes that photograph unlike anything else on earth. Sunset and sunrise ceremonies here have an otherworldly quality that couples describe as irreplaceable. Carlsbad Caverns offers a completely different environment: a 250-room cave complex with high ceilings and cathedral-like formations that make for an unusual and dramatic indoor ceremony option. New Mexico's permit process for both parks is straightforward compared to the major western parks.
